Instructions

In order to listen to the BVARC net you must have a media player installed on your computer. Check to see if you have one of these players:

The three major media players are:
  • Windows Media Player (WMP)
  • Realplayer
  • Quicktime
If you don't have a media player installed, you can get the latest Windows Media Player for free:

Your media player should be set as the default player for mp3 files. When you click on an mp3 link, the media player should automatically launch and start playing the recording. Below are instuctions on how to set-up the three major players. If for some reason the player does not launch after you have done the set-up, you can also download the mp3 file to your computer and then start the media player manually and listen to the file.

If you have more than one media player on your computer, they may compete with each other and disable the auto-load feature. You may have to refresh the settings from time to time. These instructions will refresh the settings.

Windows Media Player

Open Widows Media Player and select Tools/Options:

Now click on the tab makred File Types :

If the MP3 audio file (mp3) is NOT checked:

  • Check MP3 audio file (mp3)
  • Click OK to save the changes
  • Close the Windows Media Player.

If the MP3 audio file (mp3) IS checked:

  • UNCHECK MP3 audio file (mp3)
  • Click APPLY to save the changes
  • Check MP3 audio file (mp3)
  • Click OK to save the changes
  • Close the Windows Media Player.

Now when you click on the link to play the BVARC net the player should automatically start-up and start playing.
